At Esmée- E sustainabilty is at the heart of everything we do - from sourcing fibres to ensuring our products have a positive social and environmental impact. We use certified organic cotton GOTS, recycled or regenerative fabrics from Egypt and have visited the bio dynamic farms, recycling plants and even deserts hat have been regenerated that have been made fertile land near Cairo. Our suppliers are certified GOTS, OCS, EoL, OEKO-TEX, ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO 50001, Demeter, Fair Trade and IVN Standard. BCI, GRS and contribute to HIGG which measures impact and sustianability.
We are proud to announce that have been awarded Friend of The Earth certification by the World Sustainability Organization in Milan which means our company is aligned with the ESG principles( Environmental, Social and Governance) and contributes to many of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDG's).
By mid 2027 each of our products will carry a digital product passport (DPP) according to EU regulations , providing full transparency of its journey - from farm to finished garment - ensuring accountability and traceable impact. End of life options will also be detailed supporting a circular economy and enabling consumers to make informed responsible choices.
As we grow with partners , we will remain committed to reducing our environmental footprint, innovating responsibly. We are currently planning partnerships with sustainable bio colour innovators for dye and print pastes using colour from powdered clothing destined for land fill.
3.5 billion people work in fashion and textiles, this includes farmers, distributors, logistics, that is a lot of peoples lively hoods. We have to collectively clean up the industry to keep everyone employed.
We believe everyone had he right to wear something new and make themselves feel good. Cotton, we feel is the fabric we feel is appreciated worldwide and suitable for most climates and Egyptian high quality long staple cotton improves with washing and wear. Our garments are designed to last, investment pieces and are non seasonal.
